{"id":1063,"date":"2019-04-01T04:44:29","date_gmt":"2019-04-01T04:44:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pasaportealasalud.com.mx\/?p=1063"},"modified":"2025-04-09T21:02:02","modified_gmt":"2025-04-09T21:02:02","slug":"following-the-laws-of-nature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pasaportealasalud.com\/blog\/2019\/04\/01\/following-the-laws-of-nature\/","title":{"rendered":"FOLLOWING THE LAWS OF NATURE?"},"content":{"rendered":"<!--:en-->\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Rockwell Extra Bold',serif; color: #c00000;\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><u style=\"text-underline: thick;\">Struggling with health or weight loss issues?<\/u> Have low energy, high blood pressure, and diabetes, digestive issues, struggling with stress, anxiety, depression or other health challenges?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: 115%;\"><strong><u>HERE\u2019S THE PROBLEM!<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: 115%;\">\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\"><u>We are not paying attention to the laws of nature.<\/u>\u00a0 O<span style=\"color: black; background: #FFFFCC;\">ur natural environment is filled with cyclical patterns and rhythms; consider our personal<\/span> circadian rhythms such as our sleep\/wake cycles, our hormonal cycles, and menstrual cycles in women.\u00a0 Even bears have a hibernation cycle.\u00a0 <u>So let\u2019s start by looking at the big picture.<\/u><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\">The <strong><u>EQUINOX:<\/u><\/strong> in Latin the word means \u201cequality of day and night, in the northern hemisphere it occurs twice a year around spring (March 20<sup>th<\/sup> this year) and autumn (September 22<sup>nd<\/sup> this year).\u00a0 In the southern hemisphere the seasons are the exact opposite.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\">This is the time when the Sun is directly over the Equator and day and night are the same length of time (12 hours of day and 12 hours of night.).\u00a0 From the spring equinox (also known as the vernal equinox) the days begin to get longer until we reach the longest day of the year known as the summer solstice.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\">The <strong><u style=\"text-underline: thick;\">SOLSTICE:<\/u><\/strong> in the northern hemisphere the summer solstice is (June 21<sup>st<\/sup> this year), the longest day of the year when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky at noon. \u00a0The winter solstice (December 21<sup>st<\/sup> this year), is the shortest day of the year when the sun reaches its lowest point in the sky at noon.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\">The <strong><u>FOUR SEASONS:<\/u><\/strong> The Equinox and Solstice then divide the year into the four seasons of winter, spring, summer and fall.\u00a0 As the days get longer and warmer, food production increases, physical activity increases, our mood and confidence increase and we become more productive.\u00a0 As the days shorten, food production reduces or stops, physical activity is less, our mood drops and we pack on weight to see us through the winter and we become less active.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\"><u style=\"text-underline: thick;\">Our natural environment is filled with cyclical patterns and rhythms,<\/u> such as seasonal fluctuations in temperature and precipitation as the Earth revolves around the Sun.\u00a0 These biological rhythms are classified into three major categories according to the time separating the beginning to the end of the next repeating cycle.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\"><strong><u>Infradian rhythms:<\/u><\/strong> (periods of more than 24 hours) such as monthly cycles driven by the Moon\u2019s revolution around the Earth such as tides, gravitational forces, and menstruation\/ovulation cycles in women.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\"><strong><u>Circadian rhythms:<\/u><\/strong> (a 24 hour period, from the Latin circa, meaning \u201caround\u201d and dies, meaning \u201ca day,\u201d which influence our sleep\/wake cycles, our body temperature cycles, hormonal cycles, work\/rest cycles, etc.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"line-height: 115%; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\"><strong><u>Ultradian rhythms<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 (periods of less than 24 hours) our sleep\/wake cycle which is composed of five separate repetitive cycles of sleep which repeat about every 90 minutes.
